Magnesium phosphoricum is effective as an antispasmodic and analgesic. It relieves spasms in various parts such as urinary organs, intestines, uterus, and nerve pains. It is also indicated in spasms of blood vessels, writer’s cramps, and muscular spasms. It also relieves abdominal cramps and flatulence.

It should be taken as 3-4 tablets three times a day and every hour in case of acute pains. Children have to be given half of the adult dose or otherwise as prescribed by the physician.

It is also indicated in paralysis agitans, cramps in calves, sciatica, twitchings, chorea, writer’s cramp, player’s cramp, tetanic spasms, and general muscular weakness.
