The symptoms are worse in rainy weather and water in any form. Clinically, it has been found a valuable remedy for spinal meningitis, head injuries, mental troubles, and chronic gout. It is also helpful in skin cases such as warts, blisters, and jaundiced skin. It is indicated in melancholy, periodic attacks of mania, suicidal tendencies, and inability to think. It covers occipital headache, vertigo, hot feeling on top of the head, ill effects of falls and injuries, and mental troubles after injury or fall. The earache is worse in damp weather, with nasal catarrh with a thick yellowish discharge and a salty taste, and conjunctiva yellow with photophobia. The mouth is covered with slimy, thick tenacious mucus and a bitter taste. The tongue has a brown bitter coating and yellow complexion. It is indicated in bilious vomiting, acid dyspepsia, heartburn, and flatulence. It is amongst one of the best remedies for duodenal catarrh, hepatitis, icterus, flatulency, diarrhoea which is yellow and watery, diabetes, nosebleed during menses, herpetic vulvitis, gonorrhoeal disease, and asthma in children.
