Crataegus Pentarkan is composed of Arnica montana, Crataegus oxyacantha, Convallaria majalis, Coffea cruda, and Prunus spinosa. Arnica montana is indicated in angina pectoris, pain severe in the elbow of left arm, stitches in the heart, pulse feeble and irregular, cardiac dropsy with distressing dyspnoea, extremities distended, feel bruised and sore, fatty heart, and hypertrophy. Crataegus oxyacantha is indicated in cardiac dropsy, fatty degeneration of the heart, aortic diseases, extreme dyspnoea on exertion without much increase of pulse, pain in the region of the heart and under the left clavicle, heart muscles are flabby and worn-out, cough, heart dilated, first sound weak, pulse accelerated, irregular, feeble and intermittent, valvular murmurs, angina pectoris, cutaneous chilliness, and blueness of fingers and toes. It sustains the heart from infectious diseases. Convallaria majalis is a heart remedy that is indicated in endocarditis with extreme orthopnoea, sensations as if the heartbeat is heard throughout the chest, sensation as if the heart would cease beating then starting suddenly, palpitation from the least exertion, tobacco heart especially due to cigarettes, angina pectoris and extremely rapid and irregular pulse. Coffea cruda is indicated in violent irregular palpitations especially after excessive joy or surprise, rapid high-tension pulse, and urinary suppression. Prunus spinosa is indicated in the oppression of the chest, anxious short respiration, and furious beating of the heart worse from the slightest motion.
