Aconitum napellus CH

It is indicated in conditions where there is a marked physical and mental restlessness with fear, anxiety and anguish of mind and body. Complaint from exposure to dry, cold weather, cold air and also complaints from very hot weather especially disorders of digestion. It is very useful in cases of inflammations and inflammatory fevers.

Mind: Intense fear, anxiety, and worry with every complaint and even the least ailments. Delirium with fearful forebodings and anxiety. Fear of death, future and crowd of people with restlessness and intolerable pains which drives him crazy. Music is unbearable which makes her sad and feels as if she is in a dream.

Head: Fullness and heaviness of head with pulsating, hot, bursting, burning and undulating sensation. Burning headache, with sensation of pressure inside the brain. Vertigo worse on rising from the bed and shaking the head. Sensation as if hair were pulled out from the vertex.

Eyes: Inflammation with redness and swollen lids. Irritation of eyes with sensation as if from sand. Eyes feel dry and sore with aversion to light. Profuse tears from exposure to dry, cold winds, reflection from snow, after extraction of cinders and other foreign bodies.

Ears: Oversensitive to noises, even music is unbearable. Earache with hot, red, painful, swollen ears.

Nose: Oversensitive to smell with pain at root of nose. Running nose with frequent sneezing and throbbing in the nostrils. Bleeding from the nose with dry and stopped up nose.

Face: Face red, hot, flushed and swollen. On rising from the bed the red face becomes deathly pale, or feels dizzy. Tingling and numbness in the cheeks, with one side pale and other side red in color. Neuralgic pains especially of left side, with restlessness, tingling, and numbness and pain in the jaws.

Mouth: Feels numb, dry with swollen, white coated tongue and sensitive teeth. Continuous movement of lower jaw as if from chewing food.

Throat: Congestion of throat with red, dry, constricted, numb, prickling, burning and stinging sensation with swollen tonsils.

Stomach: Vomiting with bitter taste in the mouth and thirst for cold water accompanied by profuse sweat and increased urination. Vomiting of bilious mucous and bloody, greenish fluids with fear and heat. Heaviness in stomach with difficulty omitting of blood with mucus.

Abdomen: Sensitive to touch with collection of gas and severe colic and burning in the umbilical region.

Rectum: Itching and stitching in anus at night. Frequent passage of small quantity of stool with dissatisfied feeling and urging in the rectum. Loose stools and vomiting with collapse, anxiety, and restlessness. Bleeding piles. Watery diarrhea in children with sleeplessness and restlessness.

Urine: Urine scanty, red, hot with painful micturition. Cutting pains and burning at neck of bladder and urethra with tenderness over the region of kidneys. Retention of urine with anxiety, screaming and restlessness, and handling of genitals. Renal region sensitive.

Male: Bruised pain and swelling of the testicles with tingling in the glans. Frequent, painful erections and emissions.

Female: Dryness of vagina with extreme sensitiveness. Menses too profuse, too long and too late. Menses suppressed from fright and cold with anxiety on appearance of menses. Inflammation of ovaries with congestion and pain. Sharp shooting pains in the uterus with restlessness.

Respiratory: Constant pressure and oppression in the left chest with hoarse, dry cough and labored breathing. Child grasps at the throat every time during cough. Very sensitive larynx with dry, short, hacking cough from inhaled air, worse at night and after midnight. Tingling in chest after cough, with hawking of bloody mucus.

Heart: Affections of the heart with increased heartbeat and pain in left shoulder. Heat and painin the chest with anxiety and palpitations. Pulse full, hard, tense and bounding with fainting sensation.

Back: Numbness of the nape of the neck and back with pain and stiffness. Bruised feeling in the back and in between the shoulder blades.

Extremities: Limbs feel lame, bruised, heavy and numb with insensibility. Hot hands and cold feet. Inflammation of joints with swelling and sensitiveness especially at night. Hip-joint and thigh feel lame and weak after lying down. Weakness and cracking of joints, and weak ligaments with unsteady knees.

Sleep: Restless sleep with long nightmares and anxious dreams. Sleeplessness with restlessness, especially in the old people.

Skin: Skin red, hot, dry and burning with military rashes, tingling and numbness. Coldness and crawling sensation down the back. Itching of the skin relieved by stimulants.

Fever: Fever with marked chilliness. Cold waves passes through him with cold perspiration and icy coldness of face. Coldness and heat alternate with restlessness and intense thirst. Fever with great mental anguish and restlessness.

Modalities: Better in open air and worse in warm room, in evening and night, lying on affected side, from music, from tobacco-smoke and dry, cold winds.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
