Alpha-CF is very effective in giving relief from cold and flu, headache and body ache. It controls the profuse discharges from the upper respiratory tract, coryza and irritating cough. It also helps in calming the mind and overcoming physical restlessness. It will give a sense of well-being both mentally and physically. It is effective in treating fever with chills and running nose.

It is used sublingually. In acute conditions, at the beginning 1 tablet every hour and 2-3 tablets before sleep. Subsequently, 1 tablet every 2 or 3 hours is to be taken as the symptoms begin to subside or otherwise as prescribed by the physician.

Aconitum napellus is indicated in fever with physical and mental restlessness with a great feeling of weakness. The complaints are caused by exposure to dry, cold weather, a draught of cold air and stress. Pain in the root of nose, mucous membrane dry, with scanty watery coryza and smell is acutely sensitive. The throat is dry, raw and constricted. Bryonia alba is a very important remedy for catarrhal conditions due to exposure to dry weather. The mucous membranes are all dry with dry cough, rheumatic pains and swelling in the joints. It is indicated in irritating, splitting headache which is worse on moving, with pain in the eyeballs. There is marked dryness of the throat with excessive thirst. The throat is dry, raw and hoarseness of voice. The cough is dry, hacking with constant irritation in the upper trachea, which is worse at night, after eating or drinking. There is also weakness associated with these symptoms. Eupatorium perfoliatum is indicated for fevers such as influenza and other viral fevers. There is headache, bone pain, coryza with sneezing, hoarseness of voice and cough with soreness in the chest, must support and fever preceded by thirst. Gelsemium sempervirens are for muscular weakness, vertigo, heaviness of the head, and occipital headache with the feeling of a tight band around the head. The head feels large, sneezing, fullness at the root of the nose, dryness of the nose and acute coryza. The discharge is watery excoriating and dry cough with sore chest. Ipecacuanha has its action on the ramifications of pneumo-gastric nerve producing spasmodic irritation in the chest and stomach. It is indicated in coryza with a stuffed nose, nausea, dyspnoea, and couch incessant and violent with every breath. Eucalyptus globulus is a remedy for catarrhal conditions, influenza, fever of relapsing character, stuffy nose, dyspnoea and bronchitis in aged people. The expectoration is white and thick with an irritating cough. Phosphorus is indicated in persons with destructive metabolism, great lowness of spirit, neuralgia and chronic catarrh. The larynx is very painful, sore throat, cannot talk and cough from tickling in the throat which is worse in cold air.
