Dos and don’ts for the summer

Finally, the blissful and delightful summer is here. But with days getting hotter and evenings becoming more uncomfortable, you need to change your lifestyle a little. Here are some easy dos and don’ts for a healthier summer:
Do’s
- The risk of food poisoning and other food-borne diseases increases during summers. To keep you away from these diseases, try avoiding street food and opt for eating fresh and healthy. Try consuming fruits and vegetables, which boast of high water content.
- The key to staying fit and healthy during summer is by drinking ample amount of water. Keeping yourself hydrated is extremely important during summers. Carry a bottle of water with you to stay healthy.
- Taking a shower during summers makes you feel fresh. It will also help you in staying clean and away from diseases.
- Make sure you wear sunscreen whenever you are heading out. Ensure that you do apply sunscreen on all the exposed areas of your body and not just your face.

Don’ts
- Say no to Fast Food and Sugary Sodas. Instead of grabbing that bottle of Colas, go for water instead. Also, avoid eating junk food as much as possible; opt for healthy fruits and salads instead.
- Food poisoning is quite common during summer, and this happens because of eating stale food. During the summer season, food tends to get spoiled way before than it does during winters. So, don’t eat food that is too old.
- Do not drink unclean water. Also, beware of those water bottles that street vendors sell. Instead of drinking water from outside, it is best to carry a bottle with you whenever you step out of the house.
- Avoid going outside during noon. If you stay in the sun for too long, you may end up getting sick.
If by any chance you fall sick during summers, you can always take homeopathic medicines. They are reliable and effective. However, we would always recommend you to consult a doctor so that you take the right medicine and the right dosage.
