Anekind is effective in treating anaemia in children by facilitating the absorption, production and maintenance of haemoglobin within the normal range. It improves the absorption of iron and stimulates the production of RBCs in the bone marrow and liver. It covers the symptoms of anaemia such as weakness, tiredness, sunken face with livid spots, headaches and lethargy due to anaemia. It is also a remedy for weakness and convalescence after debilitating diseases and a weak immune system.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, it can be taken as for infants 1 globule 3 times a day and for children 3 globules 3 times a day before a meal should be given.

Anekind is composed of important well-proven drugs such as Ferrum metallicum, Ceanothus americanus, Secale cornutum, Cinchona officinalis, Gingko biloba, Justicia adhatoda, Ergotinum and Nux vomica. Ferrum metallicum is best adapted for young weakly persons, anaemic, chlorotic and who flush easily, with cold extremities, oversensitive, weak from speaking or talking, pallor of the skin and mucous membranes alternating with flushes and irregular distribution of blood. The muscles are flabby and relaxed. The pain in the head is hammering, pulsating and due to congestion. The face is fiery red and flushed. The pulse is full, soft and yielding and also small and weak. Ceanothus americanus has its specific action on the spleen and it is suited for anaemic patients where liver and spleen are at fault. It is an active hemostatic reducing the clotting of blood. It is indicated in anaemia due to malaria. Scale cornutum is indicated in anaemia with coldness, numbness, justification and gangrene. It produces haemorrhages, debility, anxiety, and emaciation with excessive appetite and thirst. The muscles of the face and abdomen twitch and headache in the back of the head, eyes sunken and surrounded by a blue margin, the face pale, pinched and sunken, mouth dry and cracked, unnatural appetite, thirst unquenchable, cholera-like stools, palpitations with an intermittent pulse, insomnia with restlessness and icy coldness of extremities with violent cramps. The skin is shrivelled, numb and feels cold to the touch. Cinchona officinalis is a remedy for great ability from exhausting discharges, loss of vital fluids, nervous erethism where the periodicity is marked, after effects of debilitating diseases, sensitivity to draughts, anaemia, sallow complexion, face bloated and red, slow digestion, hungry without appetite, flatulence, irregular heartbeats, suffocative attacks, extremities are trembling, weak with numb sensation, extreme sensitiveness to touch, coldness of skin and drowsy. Ginkgo biloba is a remedy which has anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, anti-asthmatic and anti-allergic properties. It is used for the treatment of muscular weakness, skin conditions and anxiety. It improves cerebral circulation and memory. Justicia adhatoda is another drug which is indicated in anemic subjects who are prone to frequent attacks of cold and infections especially of respiratory tract. Ergotinum is a hemostatic and causes the contraction of the arteries thereby preventing haemorrhages. Nux vomica is especially suited to nervous, irritable, thin, quick and active. The complaints are from over study, overwork, from abuse of stimulants, coffee and tobacco.
