It is indicated in histamine-induced bronchospasm and relieves the symptoms. It has anticancer, antiviral, antibacterial, bitter tonic, astringent, antiperiodic and anthelmintic properties.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, it has to be taken as 1-2 tablets twice daily and the children should be given half of the adult dose. Subsequently, as the symptoms are getting better, 1 tablet should be given.
