Colikind is useful in the treatment of abdominal complaints like pain in the abdomen which is simple, spasmodic or crampy. It relieves gripping abdominal pain and renders carminative action. It also helps in giving relief from flatulence or trapped gas and colic from gas. It improves digestion and prevents the occurrence of colic when given before feeding.

In acute cases, 2-5 globules every half of an hour should be given. Once the symptoms are getting better, 3 globules 3 times a day should be given until the symptoms are relieved or otherwise as prescribed by the physician. It is better to take 15 minutes before food.

Colikind is effective in treating abdominal complaints in children which contains the key ingredients such as Argentum nitricum, Chamomilla, Cinchona officinalis, Cuprum aceticum, Foeniculum vulgare, Lycopodium clavatum, Momordica balsamnia and Tilia europea. Argentum nitricum is indicated in colic with much distension of the abdomen. Belching accompanies most gastric complaints. The abdomen is painful with a burning and constricted feeling, with a great crhaving for sweets. It is indicated in pain in the stomach below the ribs which is radiating to all parts of the abdomen. Chamomilla is indicated for children who are irritable and restless with an abdominal colic. The abdomen is distended and gripping in the navel region. The colic from flatulence is aggravated after anger, with red cheeks and hot perspiration. The stool is hot, green, watery, offensive and slimy with pain in the abdomen. Cinchona officinalis is indicated in flatulence, belching of bitter fluid gives no relief. The abdomen is bloated with much flatulence colic which is better by movement and bending double. The child is hungry without an appetite and milk disagrees. The stool is undigested, frothy, yellow and painless. Cuprum aceticum is indicated in violent spasmodic pains in the abdomen with vomiting and slimy brown diarrhoea. Foeniculum vulgare is used as a carminative which is indicated in bloating, indigestion and gastric problems. It is the best remedy for children with abdominal colic and flatulence. It also acts as an antispasmodic and stimulates appetite. Lycopodium clavatum is the best remedy for abdominal complaints such as bloating of the abdomen immediately after a meal, a constant sense of fermentation in the abdomen and pain shooting across the lower abdomen from right to left. There is indigestion with excessive hunger, food tastes sour, after eating pressure on the stomach and rolling of flatulence. Momordica balsamina is an excellent remedy for gripping colic, and pain in the back hypogastrium with an accumulation of gas. There is a rumbling of gas in the abdomen. Tilia europea is also the remedy for abdominal colic, abdominal tenderness and flatulence.
