Viscum album
Viscum album is a drug often used in mother tincture hypertension. Materia medica also recommends it for diplopia, deafness from cold, persistent vertigo, asthmatic conditions, sciatica, etc, in potencies leading to a number of Viscum album 30 uses.. A clinical verification study had been conducted by CCRH to validate the present symptoms and to find out new symptoms. As expected this study has found many new symptoms.
Viscum album is called as Mistletoe in English, Mistel in German, Guide chene in French, Ban or Banda in Hindi. Mother tincture of this drug is prepared from fresh leaves and berries. In the present study, the drug was clinically verified in 6C and 30C. Symptoms given in the literature have been sufficiently verified on a good number of patients. In addition to the matching of symptoms with the homoeopathic literature, it is also found and validated some new symptoms, which are superscripted as N (New symptom). Here are some conditions for which Visum Album can be used:
Vertigo
Vertigo; with anxietyN, while standingN better sittingN, with dullness and giddiness. Vertigo with darkness in front of eyes worse morning, evening on standing worse movement better rest.N
Head
Headache; temporal region; throbbing. Frontal headache with heavinessN. Headache with low blood pressure. Numbness feeling in head with darkness before eyesN. Headache better bending forwardN. Pain in forehead with vertigo.
Eyes
Blurring of vision. Burning in eyes with irritation and restlessness. N
Ear
Otorrhoea; sticky, thin, offensive and whitish discharge. N
Abdomen
Flatulence with heaviness in abdomen.N
Rectum
Stool; constipated, irregularN and scantyN.
Urinary
Frequent urination.
Female
Pain in lower abdomen as if menses coming worse during menses. Menses early, profuse, bright red with dots.N Menopausal; climacteric complaints. Leucorrhoea; thin white worse movementN with vertigoN.
Respiratory
Dyspnoea; worse lying on left side, ascending stairsN, exertionN and runningN. Spasmodic cough (with vomitingN).
Back
Pain in back worse on movement better by restN worse lying down. Backache in lumbo-sacral region worse walking. Lumbago with stiffness. Chest

Skin
