Acalypha indica is a well known remedy of Indian origin, used for variety of diseases like cough, haemoptysis, etc. It is covered by major materia medica(s) like Allen, Boericke, Clarke, etc. Though its provings exist in literature, Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy has reproved it.
