We are entering in a New Year with lot of hope. Schwabe India wishes you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

As part of an effort to create awareness of homoeopathy, every year Schwabe India has been participating in the India International Trade Fair (IITF). This year the Schwabe India stall had attracted many people and the response to homoeopathy was encouraging. Hundreds and hundreds of people have visited and enquired about homoeopathy. Turmeric, known as Haldi in Hindi, is an Indian house hold remedy. Recent studies have established many of its health benefits. It was introduced and proved by Arya, Balachandran and Augustine in Hahnemannian Gleanings in 1977. Recently a proving was conducted by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy. Extracts from this proving data is given under Proving.

Vitiligo is a cosmetic problem. Homoeopaths manage this with constitutional and specific drugs like Arsenicum sulphuratum flavum, Kalium arsenicosum, Hydrocotyle, etc. Psoralea has been used externally to give faster results but it produces skin rashes and burning in many individuals. A recent introduction to homoeopathy, Ammi visnaga, has been found useful in these cases without any such aggravations. Children tend to catch cold easily during winter. Reports are coming in the newspapers about the victims of winter. There are increasing URTI patients in the OPDs.
