Manganum metallicum CH

Manganum is pre-eminently a drug for anemia. It is useful in chronic lung infections and necrosis of bones. It is indicated in case of delayed and scanty menses. It has a tendency to ulcer formation and chronic scaly like eruptions. Ulcers tend to become infected and pus formation. This remedy breaks down the blood cells. It is helpful in case of lung infections which are chronic leaving the patient worse. It has a main action in the periosteal region of the bones leading to inflammations and soreness of bones. Bones are sore from walking. Eruptions are worse during the cold damp weather and before a storm.

Mind: Anxiety and fear present. Apprehensiveness. Patient is restless and anxious. Manganum is a wonderful remedy for bedridden women who love to keep still and lie down always. Irritable and low spirited.

Head: Headache associated with anemia. Pain is dreadful, pressing, boring and stitching which is aggravated from moving. Skull feels sore.

Eyes: It is remedy for inflammation and pus formation in the eyelids. The eyelids are swollen which is associated with aching on the eyes.

Ears: This remedy is useful in case of ear discharges resulting from inflammation of the ears leading to deafness. Complaints are worse in cold damp weather. There is soreness, rawness and burning in the ear canal. Pain from the throat and eyes settle down in the ears. Ears feel obstructed. The patient feels as if there was a leaf before the ear.

Respiratory system: Cough during the cold damp weather due to scratching the ear canal. Larynx feels sore and inflamed leading to ulceration with burning, stinging pain that shoots to the ears. Nose stopped up. The discharge is yellow lumpy and green in the morning.

Stomach: It is indicated in case of stomach disorders. Digestion is disturbed. Appetite is less. It is useful in anemic patients who suffer from indigestion and abdominal pain. These complaints are worse during cold damp weather.

Liver: It is also a great liver remedy. Indicated in fatty liver, jaundice and it has cured gall stone also. It establishes a better working order of stomach, liver, bile becomes healthy.

Abdomen: Abdomen is full of gas with gripping pains aggravated from eating cold foods and complaints are worse during cold damp weather. Constipation and diarrhea alternate. Complaints of cramps in the anus, while sitting which is better lying down. There is prolapse of the rectum due to weakness of intestines.

Females: It is a useful remedy for the menopausal symptoms like hot flushes, irregular menstruation especially in anemic women. The flow is scanty and watery. There is a relaxed state of uterus leading to the prolapse of uterus.

Fever: It is a remedy for fever sores.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
