Profuse haemorrhages, pulmonary and from different organs. Vomiting of blood. Ulceration of stomach. Atonic and foul ulcers. Homoeopathically used for habitual sick headaches. Herbal use is as astringent, clotting agent; has been found useful in irritable bowel syndrome. Reported to have antifertility action. It has afforded relief in incipient gastric cancer, when the bleeding was the guiding symptom.
