This drug is referred for constant irritating discharges. The release may be smelly, watery with the membrane being red, swollen and angry with itches and burns. It is also associated with common viral infections, inflammation in the nose and middle ear, swelling of tissues in the nose, cancer of the breast, enlargement of the Eustachian tube, feeble heart, fatty degeneration and epithelioma of the lips.
It seems likely that in Arsenic iod, we have a remedy closely allied with tuberculosis. In the early stages of TB, it is marked by rapid, recurring fever and sweat, thinness and tendency to diarrhea with pus outgrowth in the lungs, weakness and night sweats.
This remedy is also indicated in cough and profuse discharge along with cardiac and general weakness, watery diarrhea in the phthisical subjects. It is also effective for chronic pneumonia when the pimples and acne is about to form along with great weakness, thickening of the wall of the arteries and blockage of the blood flow to the heart muscle.
Head – Vertigo with an unsteady feeling in the aged people.
Throat – The remedy covers swollen tonsils, burning in a part of the throat, bad smell, glandular involvements, thick membrane from the opening of the mouth to the lips and serious infections in the throat.
Fever- As reported, recurrent fever and sweats, drenching night sweats, weak, irregular and feeble pulses that cannot endure cold are looked after.
Eyes and Ears – Infected eyes, inflammation in the ears with stinky smell, corrosive discharge, burning sensation and pungent inflammation of the mucous membrane.
Stomach – Treats pain and heartburn, nausea, extreme thirst, vomiting an hour after food and extreme pain in the upper abdomen.
