Adonis vernalis is a heart medicine, after rheumatism and influenza, fatty degeneration of the heart muscle and cardiac dropsy. It regulates the pulse and increases the power of contractions of the heart. It is indicated in low vitality with a weak heart and slow weak pulse. It is also a remedy for mitral and aortic regurgitation, chronic aortitis, fatty heart, rheumatic endocarditis and cardiac asthma. It is indicated in myocarditis, irregular cardiac action, constriction and vertigo. Etherum is a well-known anaesthetic and it is indicated in heart conditions due to excitement and invigoration of the heart's action. The pulse is full and bounding. Cactus grandiflorus has it’s specific action on the heart and arteries and produces the characteristic constricting sensation. The mental symptoms are due to the heart's affections. It is indicated in endocarditis with mitral insufficiency together with violent and rapid action.
