Cynodon dactylon MTÂ is a remarkable remedy for haemorrhage; dysentery; dropsy; leucorrhoea. Infusion of root is used for stopping bleeding from piles. The juice of the plant is astringent, used as application to fresh cuts and wounds; used for dropsy and anasarca, in hysteria, epilepsy, insanity, catarrhal ophthalmia. Research reports of alcoholic extract as antiviral, antifungal, hypoglycaemic and diuretic.
