Baryta muriatica (Barium muriaticum) CH

Clinically it is useful in conditions of cerebral affections, vascular degenerations, headache from anemia, high blood pressure, inflammation of tonsils and parotids and convulsions and paralysis from sclerosis of brain and spinal cord. It is one of the remedies with characteristic increase in sexual desire in both the sexes.

Ears: Vertigo with whizzing and buzzing noises in the ears due to cerebral anemia. Pain in the ears better by taking cold water. Swelling of parotid glands and infection of middle ear with purulent and foul smelling discharges.

Throat: Enlargement of tonsils with difficulty in swallowing. Pharynx and Eustachian tubes feels wide open and inactive.

Respiratory: Chronic lung infections with cardiac complaints. Inflammation of bronchi with increased, rattling of mucus which is expelled with much difficulty. Blockage or narrowing of vessel walls in the lungs with high blood pressure.

Stomach: Empty all gone sensation at epigastrium with tenderness and vomiting.

Urine: Burning micturition of thick, dark urine with increased uric acid and decreased levels of chlorides.

Abdomen: Tenderness and soreness in the epigastric region with throbbing pulsations. Inflammation and induration of pancreas, aneurism of abdominal aorta, swelling of inguinal glands and spasmodic pain in rectum.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
