Plectranthus fruticosus CH

This remedy is indicated in rheumatism and spastic paralysis. It is indicated in cholera with diarrhea and coldness. It is helpful in treating complaints of dentition and fever conditions.

Mind: The mind is distracted easily and cannot keep his attention on anything. Concentration is difficult.

Head: The head is heavy and dull with confusion. The pain in the head with pressure in right side of frontal region with throbbing and washing aggravated by movement and cold.

Eyes: The white of eyes is yellow in color. There is flickering before eyes.

Nose: The sneezing is continuous with excessive discharge. The discharge is tenacious and yellow in color.

Face: There is pain in the infra-orbital region extending to teeth. The right cheek is swollen and painful and sensitive.

Mouth: The cheek is swollen extending to right teeth and to temples and ear aggravated by chewing. The root of tongue and soft palate are at first cold and then burning. There are ulcers in right side of palate and upper teeth with increased salivation.

Throat: The throat is dry with thirst not ameliorated by drinking water. There is scraping and stitches in the throat with burning as from pepper from root of tongue to stomach. The pharynx is inflamed with pressure on swallowing and burning increased by morning.

Stomach: The appetite is more, eats hastily without satiety. The thirst is increased and after drinking there is pulling sensation in stomach with tension in esophagus. The nausea is followed by vomiting which is sudden and gushing. The eructation is frequent and empty with hiccough.

Abdomen: There is violent gripping and contracting pain in the umbilical region after eating with desire for stool. The abdomen is cold in warm room in the morning.

Stool: The rectum is painful with pressure and constant gripping followed by profuse, dark and frothy stool. The stool is succeeded by burning in the anus followed by desire for stool and pressure again. The discharge of white mucus oozes after scratching of anus and followed by burning. The stool is black, pasty, yellowish brown and watery mixed with mucus and then bluish evacuated with great effort. It is helpful in expelling round worms.

Urinary: There is pressure in bladder immediately followed by desire to urinate and cutting pain in the root of penis to the base of bladder. The desire to urinate is sudden and frequent but passes only a few drops followed by sensation of fullness in bladder. The urine is dark with reddish yellow sediment.

Extremities: There is paralyzed sensation in the right shoulder and wrist suddenly appearing and disappearing. The pain in shoulder is as if sprained and lameness feeling. The lower limbs are weak with numbness in legs. There are painful cramps in the calves and stitches in hip joint.

Fever: The fever is sudden, violent shaking chill with chattering of teeth waking from sleep followed by dry heat. There is chilliness through abdomen, back and heat of hands and sudden heat on scalp followed by profuse sweat. The sweat is sour at night on right foot, and both hands.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period. We strongly recommend that the medication should be taken as per the physician’s advice.

Please avoid taking any food or drinks for a few minutes before and after taking the medication.
