Astacus fluvialitis CH is a homoeopathic dilution prepared from the mother tincture which indeed is prepared from the whole crawfish or river crab. It is suitable for people with sensitivity to coldness and suffers from exposure to cold winds. It is an effective medication for both acute and chronic urticarial forms. Rashes appears on the entire body with increased sensitiveness to air.
Uses: Skin symptoms are the most important feature of this remedy. It is useful in treating allergic skin conditions such as urticaria, nettle-rash all over whole body with severe itching and crusta lactea. It is also indicated for enlarged cervical glands and lymphatic glands, liver affections with nettle-rash and jaundice. Fever with inward chilliness and violent fever with headache. Enlarged glands of neck in children and old people. Stinging pains felt in various parts. Inward chilliness or shivering with nervous crawls all over the body. Erysipelas, with nettlerash. Cramps in liver region, liver inflamed with pressure. Cough better when walking but returns as soon as he sits down. Dyspnea, with anxiety and rattling of mucus. Cough from tickling in larynx worse during day. Fullness and pressure in stomach, burning in epigastrium with empty eructations, with sneezing and yawning. Nausea and vomiting with severe pain in duodenum. Inflammation of liver which is sensitive to pressure. Jaundice of little children. Pressure in region of spleen. Diarrhoea, with vomiting and colicky pain.
Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
