Of late, homoeopathy is getting recognised by the organisations of conventional medical system. It happened at the country’s top medical institute recently. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has awarded prominent homoeopaths contributing to the system during its International Multidisciplinary Conference AIIMS 2014 in its campus. Acalypha indica is an Indian drug. It has been used majorly in the Indian traditional medicine for the complaints of respiratory and digestive systems among others. It is now an official drug in homoeopathy; covered by Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India. Its use as mother tincture is increasing. Mahonia aquifolium, also known as Berberis aquifolium, is a drug gaining popularity in the west and in the research area. Studies concluded its positive role in acne/pimples and psoriasis as external application. Its cream is one of the top selling topical brands of Schwabe Group. Schwabe India had launched this product in the mid 2000s in the name of Topi Berberis. Its steady growth over the years is the proof of its efficacy. Deutsche Homöopathie-Union (DHU), homoeopathic division of Dr. Willmar Schwabe, Germany, has a product called Manuia® containing Damiana, Panax ginseng, Acidum phosphoricum and Ambra grisea. Its indications include exhaustion, nervousness and decreased physical and mental capability. Its effectiveness and tolerability which have been confirmed by clinical experience are confirmed by a scientific study with 92.4% of the patients rated their condition as improved from which 64.1% as much or very much improved. A comparative product is available in India in the name of Damiaplant. Another paper on the physicochemical aspects and pharmacodynamic mechanisms of high dilutions is reported along with above study.
