Caesalpinia bonducella
Caesalpinia bonducella, also known as Kantkarej in Hindi is used in Indian medicines as antipyretic, ear infection, hydrocele, etc. The clinical verification was conducted in Φ, 6C, 30C and 200C . The symptoms available in our Materia medicas are verified on a good number of patients. In addition to the matching of symptoms with the homoeopathic literature, it is also found and validated some new symptoms and it is published by Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, India. The details are published in CCRH Quarterly Bulletin Vol. 25 (1&2), 2003. A combined materia medica from this clinical verification and available literatures is given below.
Mind
Depression. Lack of enthusiasm.
Head
Headache; terrible worse evening, walking, better pressure wrapping.
Eyes
Terrible pain as if burn before and during invasion of fever, relieved by cold applications.
Nose
Coryza with thin nasal discharge.
Tongue
Slight white coating on the tongue; bloodless white moist tongue; thirst for cold water.
Stomach
Thirst for cold water with headache. Aversion for liquid food. Bilious vomiting.
Abdomen
Liver enlargement with pain worse pressure.
Rectum
Diarrhoea; loose watery stool with increased thirst. Constipation alternate with diarrhoea. Stool watery yellow, also hard and difficult. Stool loose mixed with mucus.
Fever
Fever with chill between 8 to 10 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m., with headache and bodyache better pressure worse morning, mid-day and afternoon 2-4 p.m. and night. Fever with coryza, constipation, dry cough, pain in right side of abdomen, restlessness, anorexia, bodyache, and headache better pressure, without chill. Intermittent fever with chill, with bitter taste in mouth, tongue coated white, liver enlarged and painful. Fever with extreme weakness, enlarged spleen and pain in right hypochondrium. Thirst during heat stage. Fever irregular.
Skin
Reddish eruptions like mosquito bites.
Generalities
Extreme weakness after fever.
