Sinus headache
It is common type of headache caused by inflammation of sinus (Facial sinuses). Patient may feel pressure around your eyes, cheeks and forehead.
Cause
Sinusitis is mainly due to allergic reaction of sinus cavities. Such allergic manifestations are over reaction of immune system of some individuals. The inflammation causes swelling and increased fluid production. In the sinuses, this decreases the ability of the sinuses to drain. This increased inflammatory fluid production and the decrease in drainage causes the pain and pressure of a sinus headache.
Symptoms
Sinusitis may include pain, pressure and fullness in the cheeks, brow or forehead. Pain get when patient bend forward or lie down. Patient may have stuffy nose. Person may feel fatigue or malaise. There may be pain in upper teeth. The pain can increase with changing position of the head, or when first getting up out of bed. The part of the face in the area of the affected sinus can be tender to touch and reddened.
