Oleum ricini MT is used as laxative and in diseases associated with intestine or colons. Homoeopathically it is used for Rumbling with contraction of recti muscles, colic, incessant diarrhoea with purging, stool loose with painful cramps in muscles of extremities, anus inflammed. Other symptoms are vertigo, occipital pain, buzzing in ears, anorexia, and great thirst, burning in stomach, pyrosis and profuse vomiting. It has shown antimicrobial activities against Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus sanguinis, and Candida albicans which are commonly found in oral cavity.
