Sticta pulmonaria CH

It is a for coryza, bronchial inflammation and influenza, together with nervous and rheumatic disturbances. Dull, heavy pressure in forehead. Catarrhal conjunctivitis, etc. Rheumatic stiffness of neck. There is a general feeling of dullness and severe bodyache, as when a chillness all over the body occurs.

Mind : Confusion of many ideas. Patient must talk always. Feels as if floating in air.

Head : Dull headache, with dull heavy pressure in forehead and root of nose. Catarrhal headache before discharge appears. Burning in eyes and soreness of balls. Sensation as if scalp were too small. Burning in eyelids.

Nose : Feeling of fullness at the root of the nose Atrophic rhinitis. Dry scabs, especially in evening and night. Hay-fever with repeated sneezing. Dryness of nasal membrane. Constant need to blow the nose, but no discharge.

Female : Scanty flow of milk from breast.

Abdomen : Diarrhoea with stools profuse, frothy. Worse at morning. Urine increased with soreness and aching in bladder.

Respiratory : Throat raw and sore. Dropping of mucus at posterior side. Dry, hawking cough during night. Pain through chest from sternum to spinal column. Cough after measles. Worse towards evening and when tired. Pulsation from right side of sternum down to abdomen. Worse after inspiration. Inflammation of trachea leads to facilitates expectoration. Loose cough in morning.

Extremities : Rheumatic pain in right shoulder joint especially at deltoid and biceps. Swelling of joints with heat and redness of joints. Chorea-like spasms; legs feel floating in air. Horse shoe knee. Shooting pains in knees. Joints and near by muscles red, swollen, painful. Rheumatic pains precede catarrhal symptoms. Spot of inflammation and redness over affected joint. Pain severe and drawing.
Modalities : Worse due to sudden changes of temperature.
