A joint is an articular surface between the bones in the body. It is the connecting link of the skeletal system that makes it functional and allows movements of different degrees and types. Some joints help to carry the weight of the body and also in animation. Below are some terms related to joints:

Joint disease

Disease of the joint can be acute/ short-lived or exceedingly chronic. It can be caused by infection, injury or any pathological disease. The symptoms can be mild or excruciatingly painful and uncomfortable. They may be localized to one joint or may affect various parts of the frame of the body. The disease of the joint can be inflammatory or noninflammatory.

Joint pain

The pain can be caused by injury affecting the bone, cartilage, joint, or the ligaments, bursae, or tendons that surround the joint. The pain is also a feature of joint inflammation and infection. It can also be referred to as arthralgia. Arthritis is the best-known inflammatory joint disease out of many others to cause inflammation and pain in the joint. Bursitis and dislocation can be a reason for intense pain and limited motion of the limb. Arthritis

Rheumatism
