Triumphant Conclusion: Mumbai-Based Motorist Team’s Unique Healing with Homeopathy Campaign

A motorist team led by a homeopathic doctor from Mumbai has successfully concluded the ground breaking “Heal with Homeopathy” campaign, which took place from July 23, 2022. The campaign covered a challenging route spanning Mumbai, Amritsar, Srinagar, Kargil, Ladakh, Leh, Chandigarh, and back to Mumbai, traversing some of the highest locations on their bikes. This pioneering campaign holds the distinction of being the world’s first homeopathy initiative conducted in such demanding circumstances, exploring breathtaking landscapes. The team expresses heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and well wishes received, contributing to the resounding success of the campaign. Schwabe News – Proving & clinical verification- Ocimum canum – Schwabe India

Ocimum canum

It is commonly known as Kalatulsi and its botanical name is Ocimum americanum Linn. Its stem and branches are subquardrangular. Its leaves are 2.5 to 3 cm long and 1 to 1.5 cm wide. Leaves are elliptical-lanceolate acute to both ends, gland are dotted. Flowers are about six in a close whorl, 7.5 to 20 cm long white. Fruit a nutlet, 1.25mm long black. It is native to India, Sri Lanka, Java, West Asia, Tropical Africa, and Madagascar. It is also cultivated in America. It is covered by Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India as well as Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of United States. Its leaf is used to prepare mother tincture. It contains essential oils, flavones, triterpenic acids, terpenes, etc.

The drug was first proved and introduced by Mure. It has earlier been reported by T. F. Allen, W. Boericke, J. H. Clarke and others. Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, India has conducted an elaborated proving on this drug using 6, 30 and 200 centesimal potencies in 25 provers (7 females) in the age group of 18-38 years. Combined materia medica of this elaborated new proving as well as existing materia medica(s) has been presented below.

Head

Throbbing pain in right side of head, worse morning; better after sleep.  Left sided headache with numbness, better pressure, lying down.  Headache with feeling of heaviness in forehead, worse morning, bending forward; better lying down.  Heaviness in head, worse standing; better rest.  Pressing pain in temporal region, extending to eyes, better pressure.

Eyes

Agglutination in eyes with burning pain.  Photophobia, worse sunlight, day time; better night, cold application.  Itching around the eyes.

Nose

Sneezing with watery discharge from nose, worse cold things; drinking tea.

Face

Itching on face and forehead, worse gentle rubbing, heat of sun; better cold.

Throat

Soreness and itching sensation in throat with difficulty in swallowing, worse cold things; better drinking tea.

Stomach

Thirst increased with desire for cold water.

Urine

It has action on diseases of the kidneys, bladder and urethra. Red sand in the urine is its most characteristic symptom. It is indicated in high acidity, formation of spike crystals of uric acid. Burning during micturition.

Female

Itching and engorgement of breast.  It in indicated in swelling of vulva. The tips of the breasts are very painful; the least contact extorts a cry. Compressive pain in the breast, as is the case with wet-nurses.

Rectum

Loose watery stool, whitish in colour.

Respiratory

Dry cough, worse evening, morning; better drinking tea.  Dry cough, worse night; better drinking water.  Cough with yellow expectoration.

Extremities

Swelling in left ankle joint with pain.

Sleep

Disturbed sleep due to pain in eruptions on body.

Skin

Itching on thighs, back of hands, worse night; better scratching.  Eruptions on face, forehead, elbow, forearm, from knees to legs, scratching followed by burning sensation.  Itching on whole body, worse night, warmth of bed, heat; better scratching, cold application.  Itching eruptions on back, worse heat; better cold.  Painful eruptions on neck, worse slight pressure.
