With the establishment of its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Noida,
Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Willmar Schwabe India Pvt. Ltd., as the new company is
known, brings to India a 136 years old tradition of excellence in the
production of homoeopathic medicines.
The plant the only one of its kind in the
country, deploys the best technological know how available in the world today.
Starting initially with the manufacturing of Biochemic Tissue Salts and
Biocombinations, today the company is manufacturing and marketing a wide range
of mother tinctures, dilutiuons, attenuated trituration tablets, Alfalfa tonic
and other speciality formulations.
Dust Free Environment:
A lot of emphasis is laid on cleanliness.
Absolutely dust free environment is maintained by various methods. The
structure is so designed that every accessory like air conditioning, electrical
supply hot water, cold water, DM water and distilled water required in the
manufacturing area come through the technical floor which is just above the
manufacturing area.
This system also leads to efficiency as all
maintenance can be done without disturbing or contaminating the production
area. The technical floor has 13 Air Handling Units (AHUs) of which 7 are
exclusively for the production area. Two fresh air changes take place in an
hour in each Air Handling Unit.
The production area has "Epoxy" flooring and
rounded corners. This prevents dust particles from settling on the floor.
Mother Tinctures:

Schwabe India is the first company to use
extra neutral alcohol, a much more expensive but purer alternative to any other
type of alcohol used by many companies. Even double distilled alcohol is not
free from impurities such as aldehyde and fusel oil. Extra neutral alcohol
guarantees that homoeopathic dilutions and tinctures are free from impurities

The mother tinctures are filtered through
very fine and expensive filters, which remove even the minutest of impurities
that may occur during the handling of herbs.

The distilled and filtered mother tinctures
are stored in rooms fitted with expensive explosion resistant and flame-proof
electrical fittings of proper intensities to avoid any accident due to fire and
protect the phytochemicals of the tinctures.

Dilutions:
Drug potentization is done using the Hahnemannian method,
which was introduced by Dr. Hahnemann himself and followed by Dr. Schwabe from
the beginning. The whole process is under the responsibility of qualified
experts.

Trituration Tablets:
Homoeopathic pharmacopoeia of India
prescribes that the trituration should be done to 6x level. However, most
companies do trituration only upto 4x level and then just do simple mixing
since this is more convenient.
Schwabe believes in homoeopathic tradition and do trituration till the 6x
level. German triturators are used for hard materials which can not be
triturated on other machines. |

Quality Control:
A quality assurance laboratory checks the quality of all our raw materials and
packing materials and the finished products. All incoming herbs and other raw
materials are tested for their pharmacopoeial requirements and are compared
with authentic preserved samples that are used as set samples. Cutting
edge technology is used to assure quality control. For instance Thin Layer
Chomatographic test is conducted on all mother tinctures and basic substances,
including CoTLC and Co-run UV scan wherever required.
Schwabe's instrumental analytical laboratory
is one of the most highly sophisticated ones in the country, which helps to
maintain high standards of quality expected of leaders in this business.
Schwabe India has a well equipped microbiological set up.
Schwabe India maintains a team of highly
qualified technical staff including experts in homoeopathy to constantly guide
and advise on the various aspects of homoeopathic manufacture and quality
